Usually women would complain about how they are treated like trophies, but when it comes to men, most commonly one(either good-natured or vilely strict) they're the ones being possessive.

here's what I'm looking at.

1. b) John Rolfe and Pocahontas, It's unclear if Pocahontas in the original story was either a child or teenager or commonly middle-age adult. So Disney went on and made her more middle-age but harnesses the personality and behavior of a child as all the Disney lead females. But my thought is John Smith would still be an adult whiles Pocahontas is a child(a real child) and the two would be friends. And as time goes by, both will get older and Pocahontas would love and marry John Rolfe instead of loving Smith.

2. b) Wendy and Husband,
Wendy's only interests are to act and/or behave exactly what her mother and all other women, babysitting her bratty irresponsible story craving piracy fanatic baby brothers, being nothing but a simple(minded) loving "yes dear" "stay at home" housewife/mother and have her own kids, but most importantly sit around and wait for grandkids to come along.
Peter Pan's only interests are as said in the "Peter Pan syndrome", acting and being spoiled selfish dishonest hotheaded reckless and in his (un)awareness, forgetful. So, there really is no question nor reason why Wendy should, or choose to marry Jane's Father(Edward in Disney's version). But If Peter ever, and I mean ever ever, meets a girl he would love, it would be Jane herself.

3.
a) Edward and Giselle, makes more since.
